October 2025 - All things Autumn
This exhibition was an Open Call to local artists and includes everything from the vibrant colours of fall’s changing leaves, to harvest imagery like pumpkins and apples, as well as expressions of the cozy atmosphere that autumn brings.
Autumn is a wonderful time to make soup for the ones we love from the vegetables one grows in the garden, a time to plan our Christmas knitting projects and so much more.
October can also be fun and a little spooky at times. You never know what kind of artistic expression our artists will come up with. Our artists have been inspired by various themes such as the transition and passage of time, as well as the natural beauty of landscapes during this time of year.
This will be a fabulous exhibit full of imagination. Don’t miss it!
November 2025 - "Remember When” - Nostalgia
As we get a bit older, we often reflect on past memories of places and people in our lives. "Those were the good ol' days" we hear ourselves saying.
For the month of November 2025, the Shediac Art Gallery will be hosting a theme on "Nostalgia". Quite often emotionally charged, I predict that the paintings that local artists will submit for this month's theme will be top notch and capture some beautiful moments from days gone by.
The art we display changes regularly so we hope to see you soon so that you have a chance to enjoy this theme.

March 2026 - Music and Dance
What could be more beautiful and artistic than a celebration of music and/or dance through visual arts such as painting and sculpture. From ballerinas to ballroom dancing, to paintings of smoky jazz halls, this theme is sure to inspire our local artists to bring us some amazing art!
I am REALLY looking forward to this month’s themed exhibition!
April 2026 - Spring is in the Air!
Spring is a wonderful time of the year. A time of hope, a time of new beginnings after the dormancy of winter (and how can we forget the cute baby ducks at Waterfowl Park!) Spring is a time for returning wildlife, as nature awakens with new growth after winter. Spring is a time for family trips to the local maple syrup farm! A time for cleaning out the garden to make room for the new blooms.
Spring inspires fresh starts and positive change. I can’t wait to see what our local artists come up with for this theme! It is sure to impress!
May 2026 - Blooms
Just in time for Mother’s Day, this month’s exhibition will be full of beautiful florals. Flowers have been a timeless subject for artists, making them universally relatable and a stable theme in artistic expression across history.
With vibrant colors and forms, floral themed paintings possess rich cultural symbolism tied to emotions and nature, and provide a personal connection to the natural world for viewers, enhancing mood and well-being. With the selection of local artists preparing artwork in many genres and various mediums, this exhibit should be breathtaking!
I’m really looking forward to it! See you then.
June 2026 - Fishing and Nautical
To help celebrate Father’s Day, this month’s exhibition will be full of boats and fishing, celebrating some of dad’s hobbies. Fishing is a versatile hobby that offers benefits like stress relief and a connection with nature, we are hoping dad can find some time to unwind this summer and enjoy some time on the water.
A nice piece of nautical themed art to hang in the man cave? Why not! Our group of local artists are up to the task. This exhibit should be fun!
See you then.
