May 2026 - Blooms
This month’s exhibition will be full of beautiful florals. Flowers have been a timeless subject for artists, making them universally relatable and a stable theme in artistic expression across history.
With vibrant colors and forms, floral themed paintings possess rich cultural symbolism tied to emotions and nature, and provide a personal connection to the natural world for viewers, enhancing mood and well-being. With the selection of local artists preparing artwork in many genres and various mediums, this exhibit should be breathtaking!

In conjunction with the above exhibition, the Shediac Art Gallery will also be highlighting a “Featured Artist of the month”. Known for her beautiful botanical paintings, we welcome artist Emily Baros-Rausch in showroom 3 showcasing some of her work.

Fishing and Nautical
To help celebrate Father’s Day, this month’s exhibition will be full of boats and fishing themed art, celebrating some of dad’s hobbies. Fishing is a versatile hobby that offers benefits like stress relief and a connection with nature, we are hoping dad can find some time to unwind this summer and enjoy some time on the water.
A nice piece of nautical themed art to hang in the man cave? Why not! Our group of local artists are up to the task. This exhibit should reeling in the good vibes!
A 6 x 6 Show
Sometimes smaller sized paintings can be real gems! This will be a wonderful exhibition of a variety of styles and themes, but all in a smaller sized 6” x 6” format. This should be really fun!

In conjunction with the above exhibition, the Shediac Art Gallery will also be highlighting a “Featured Artist of the month”. Known for her expressive and thought provoking paintings, we welcome artist Dawn Hamilton in showroom 3 showcasing some of her stunning work.
July 2026 - Birds of a Feather
We had so much talent and enthusiasm with this theme last September, I wanted to do this theme again. Can you imagine? A gallery full of paintings of birds? How Awesome!
Our local maritime artists are just so talented, and have such wonderful paintings. This exhibit should be the best yet!

Acadian themed art
Acadian Day is August 15, 2026, this is a day that has been celebrated annually since 1881 commemorating Acadian culture and history. Why not celebrate the day by taking home some art that showcases the Acadian culture and heritage. Many of our local maritime artists are Acadian, so this exhibit is sure to impress!
An 8 x 8 Show
August is the 8th month of the year, so we thought it would be fun to have an exhibition with a variety of styles and themes, but all in a smaller sized 8” x 8” format. We are letting the artists have their freedom here. You will find many styles and subject matters, just in this particular size. This should be really fun!

Known for his incredible watercolour work (frequently mistaken for photographs - yes folks he’s just that good), we welcome artist Robert Lyon in showroom 3 showcasing some of his amazing paintings.
September 2026 - Art Shediac Exhibition
A wonderful celebration of local artists and styles from those members of the artist’s group called “Art Shediac”.
This will be an eclectic mix of painting styles and themes, but should be fun to see.

In conjunction with the above exhibition, the Shediac Art Gallery will also be highlighting a “Featured Artist of the month”. Known for her collage and abstract work as well as her impressionistic florals, we welcome artist Brenda Smyth in showroom 3 showcasing some of her paintings.
October 2026 - New Brunswick in the Fall
What could be more beautiful than New Brunswick in the Fall! I mean REALLY! New Brunswick is often nicknamed the "Picture Province," for a reason. This province is renowned for its scenic beauty, featuring dramatic coastlines, lush forests and the world’s highest tides in the Bay of Fundy.
We will be showcasing some beautiful landscape paintings of local scenes by local artists that are sure to impress.

November 2026 - Two Different Themes!
Close Encounters of an Abstract Kind! (in main showroom)
5 × 7 Show (many themes, all the same size - in showroom 2)
Abstract art is a genre of visual arts that moves away from realistic representation of the physical world to embrace in the language of shapes, colors, forms, and gestural marks to create meaning and evoke emotion. So why not dedicate an entire month to exhibit this art genre for all to see!
We have many local artists that express their artistic skills within the abstract genre. Their art focuses more on the artist's inner experience, ideas and movement with art media, rather than being limited by the formal elements of the literal subject. It gives viewers the freedom to interpret the artwork based on their own feelings and perspectives.
This should be a very interesting exhibit that leans into the inner thoughts and emotions of the artist itself.
Also on exhibition, an exhibition of the same sized paintings. Because after all, great things come in small canvases! We hope you enjoy this exhibition.

In conjunction with the above exhibition, the Shediac Art Gallery will also be highlighting a “Featured Artist of the month”. Known for her detailed contemporary style, we welcome artist Malcah Sussman in showroom 3 showcasing some of her paintings.
December 2026 - The 12 × 12 Days of Christmas
This exhibition will include a variety of styles and subject matters from our local maritime artists. The one thing they will all have in common though will be that they are all square shaped, and all the same size: 12” x 12” (30cm x 30cm). As we get ready for Christmas, a small(ish) piece of art for a loved one might be just the right thing! Come browse this exhibition in this fun size!

In conjunction with the above exhibition, the Shediac Art Gallery will also be highlighting a “Featured Artist of the month”. Known for her detailed realism of animals, children and landscapes, we welcome artist Susan Staresina in showroom 3 showcasing some of her paintings.
January 2027 - Temporarily Closed
During the month of January 2027, the Shediac Art Gallery will be closed in order to touch up the paint on the walls, and to allow staff to take vacation.
We will be re-opening February 2027 with a new exhibition.
